Automated Printer Definition

Printer Definition Plus (PDP) is an add-on module to OM Plus that automates the deployment of printer definitions so that no effort is ever required to define network printers on end user workstations again!

Network printers must be defined to end user workstations in order to make them accessible. These network printer "definitions" need to be maintained at both the end user PC/workstation and at the server. Changes to these definitions are required anytime new associates are hired, new PC's are purchased, associate's job changes, changes in associate physical locations, new server installations, application software changes, etc. Maintaining network printer definitions on end user PC's can be a time consuming, tedious, manual job for network administrators as well as end users. Printer Definition Plus relieves the Network Administrator of this task, freeing them up to perform more critical tasks than defining printers on individual workstations.
