CSM Solutions has been implementing Server Based Computing environments since the 1990's using Citrix Winframe and Wyse Winterms. The term "Server Based Computing" refers to the use of technology that permits the processing and storage requirements of a given system to be hosted on a central machine or collection of machines, whilst the user interaction occurs on remote devices.

There are many benefits in implementing a server based computing environment, and nowadays there are many solutions available to assist in implementing such systems.

Software

Perhaps the name most often associated with server based computing is that of Citrix Systems. We have implemented and supported Citrix Metaframe installations since the early generations of that product set.
